SVECW All-Girls Team Wins Multiple Awards at mBAJA SAEINDIA 2026
Students of Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women, Bhimavaram brought laurels to the institution by winning multiple awards at the prestigious mBAJA SAEINDIA 2026, organized by SAEINDIA and hosted at B. V. Raju Institute of Technology, Narsapur. The national-level event was conducted from 25 February 2026 to 01 March 2026.
The all-girls team “Ziba Racers” from SVECW showcased exceptional engineering talent and secured five awards in the competition:
- 1st Prize – CAE Award
- 1st Prize – Manufacturing Excellence Award
- 2nd Prize – Vehicle Stability Award
- Runner-up – Acceleration Event
- Best Debutant Team Award
The event witnessed participation from 51 teams representing 45 engineering institutions across 11 states, with more than 1500 students competing. Interestingly, only three teams among the 51 participating teams were women teams, making the success of Team Ziba Racers particularly noteworthy.
The students designed and fabricated a single-seater off-road buggy by working on several major engineering subsystems including vehicle design, steering system, suspension system, powertrain integration, and chassis development, demonstrating strong technical expertise and teamwork.
This achievement highlights the capability of women engineers to excel in demanding automotive design and manufacturing challenges. The college management congratulated the team and reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women students through experiential learning, innovation, and participation in national-level engineering competitions.
