About ACM-W:
The Association for Computing Machinery’s Council on Women in Computing (ACM-W) supports, celebrates, and advocates internationally for the full engagement of women in all aspects of the computing field, providing a wide range of programs and services to ACM members and working in the larger community to advance the contributions of technical women. ACM-W is an active organization with over 36,000 members.
The inaugural of SVECW-ACM-W will be held on 12th July 2024 at 10:00 AM by ACM distinguished speaker Dr.Santhosh Kumar Balan. The inaugural session will be followed by special talk on Data science and its importance by Dr.Santhosh Kumar Balan.
Speaker: Dr. Santhosh Kumar Balan
Dr. B Santhosh Kumar is a Professor at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, specializing in Data Science, Blockchain Technology, Machine Learning, and IoT. He holds a PhD from Anna University, Chennai, and has published 86 research articles and authored four textbooks. With extensive experience, he has delivered 15 keynote speeches and guided numerous undergraduate and postgraduate projects. Dr. Kumar has filed four Indian patents and one Australian patent. He has received multiple prestigious awards, including the I2OR Bright Researcher Award and Global Teacher Award, and serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for several reputed journals.
