Engineering Workshop
Engineering workshop is the place where the raw material is converted into finished product. In this lab students are going to learn different trades like Carpentry, Tin Smithy, Black Smithy, Foundry, Fitting and House Wiring.
Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machinery Lab
The main objective of this lab is to introduce a variety of classical experimental and diagnostic techniques, and the principles behind these techniques. Also, it provides practice in making engineering judgements, estimates and assessing the reliability of your measurements, skills which are very important in all engineering disciplines
Mechanics of Solids
Strength of Materials is the physical science that looks at the reaction of a body to movement and deformation due to mechanical, thermal, or other loads. The basis of virtually all mechanical design lies in how the material reacts to outside forces. Mechanics is the core of engineering analysis and is one of the oldest of the physical sciences. An in-depth understanding of material properties and how certain materials react to outside disturbances is most important to an engineering education.
Manufacturing Technology Lab
Students will be trained in different manufacturing processes like casting, moulding, welding etc.
Thermal Engineering Lab
This lab focuses on working and performance study of all IC engines. Besides 4-stroke and 2-stroke I.C. Engines, it has a refrigeration tutor panel and fabricates all the water coolers and deep freezers needed for the college and hostels, and maintain all the air conditioners in the Institute. Boiler models are present for demonstration purpose.
Machine tools Lab
In this lab students will learn how to do different mechanical operations on a wide variety of machines like Lathe Machine, Slotting Machine, Radial Drilling Machine, Planning Machine, Shaping Machine, Milling Machine and Grinding Machine etc.
Metrology Lab
In this Instrumentation lab students gain practical knowledge on the calibration of the instruments which involves adjusting the unknown value with known value, finding the errors in the different instruments.
Instrumentation Lab
This lab works with an objective to train the students to measure various significant parameters like pressure, Temperature, strain and velocity and also to calibrate those instruments used to measure above parameters. In this laboratory students are exposed not only to the mechanical instruments but also electrical and electronic instruments.
Heat Transfer Lab
This lab provides a practical idea of heat transfer subject to the students which involves finding the heat transfer coefficient, heat flow rate etc, in the different modes of heat transfer like conduction, convection and radiation.
CAD-CAM Lab
This lab enables students to create, modify, analyze and optimize the design of a product with the help of the softwares such as AutoCAD, Pro/E, CATIA and ANSYS.
The Metallurgy Lab
This lab is equipped with powerful metallurgical microscopes, Electrical heating furnace with digital temperature controller, permeability meter, sand rammer, sieve shaker, and etching and polishing machines to study the micro and grain structure of metals, f8″ Double disc variable speed polisher, Metallurgical microscope, Hydraulic Specimen mounting press.
Mechanics of Machines Lab
To impart practical knowledge on design and analysis of mechanisms in the machine tools and automobiles, vibration equipment.
