Social Services

National integrity should flow from the heart of every citizen. Apart from academics, every student must involve in serving her country.

National Service Scheme (NSS) has been introduced as a part of the academic programs since the establishment of SVECW.  NSS has been functioning as a regular feature in the realm of our Institution. NSS has enriched the students’ souls and mind. The cardinal principle of the NSS programme is that it is organized by the students themselves, and both students and teachers through their combined participation in community service, get a sense of involvement in the tasks of nation building.

The overall objective of this scheme is Education and Service to the community and by the community. It’s students’ programme where we cater to the need of the community, as and when required, It will also help the students to communicate with the society. Students develop many skills and learn how to behave and interact with different kinds of people. The students go to the rural areas and try to develop a Technocratic Environment and help the underprivileged people to develop themselves.

SVECW is driven by a noble cause that ‘serving people is serving God.’  Umpteen instances can disclose this truth.  Knowledge Centre, Leprosy Centre and Housing Colonies to the poor are a few among the plethora of social services.

Peeping into the past, Padmabhushan Dr. B.V.Raju, founder chairman, in his seventies, soon after retiring from his business activities, decided to help the poor and the needy.  He constructed churches and temples, helped lepers, gave support to educated youth and a good number of social activities.  He became a true ‘karma yogi’. The legacy of his services is continuing.

SVECW have identified the following key communities to support and strengthen them.

  • Rural poor students
  • Leprosy patients
  • Village Community
  • Physically challenged people
  • Patients
  • Merit students of surrounding colleges
