There is a need for ensuring quality and integrity in engineering education through competition, standards, and consistent policies. Without a proper direction, it is highly difficult to attract students towards their engineering education. It is more evident from the statistics of the engineering admission this academic year and clearly visible in the slowdown of the recruitment particularly in the software industry. Engineering colleges have to produce industry ready professionals for that matter.
SVECW motivates its students in research oriented activities by establishing research centres. Even, Assistive Technology Lab provides hands on experience and thus, develops a practical bent of mind. Our teachers always encourage students to do research and present their papers at various technical symposiums. SVECW invites professors from foreign universities and train the students in research work in order to come out with some useful products. Our students have done many projects and won prizes at National level contests. They have participated in National Level Conferences and received appreciation. This initiative starts from their under graduation in Engineering. Post graduate students do a lot of research and are busy with their laboratory activities for better exposure.
In many aspects, our students get a lot of research exposure right from their undergraduate level and feel very proud to be a part of SVECW. Our students believe that eternal learning is imperative in today’s demanding world. In all aspects, SVECW is creating ‘career learners’ with its new ideas and innovative centers.
